„The German naturalistic planting movement: Theory and practice”

Friday 27th August to Tuesday 31st August 2010

We will spend the first and last day at the Garden Academy in lectures and discussions, the other three days we will be out visiting gardens in and around Berlin. Visits include the Foerster Garden in Potsdam, as well as the Freundschaftsinsel (Foerster’s first Trial Garden) and will spend a day in Berlin with one of Germany’s leading planting experts looking at some of his work.

The week is so designed as to provide plenty of time for discussion and exchange ideas with likeminded people in a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of free time is allowed for people to enjoy the city of Berlin on their own as well.

Like this summer, the course will be non-residential, i.e. people book their own hotels according to their budget (we provide a list of convenient addresses for different prices).
